cont from sick to the back teeth

can every tiger owner (955i) do an experiment and post your findings asap.

any speed any rev range any gear.

just hold the throttle in one place, the engine should run smooth and maintain a constant speed, without surging, pinking, jumping etc,
if i do this on mine the engine starts surging, not aggresivly to cause kangarooing but i can feel it and its **** annoying.

Only problem I ever had was at low speed / low rpm when holding a constant speed. TOR tune fixed that problem. But been other issues (see my post's) since then. New throttle position sensor installed this week and running much better.

Would take it back to dealer and make them contact Triumph about issue. Originally when my plugs fouled Triumph said just blow them off and go. My dealer didn't like the response and called back and talked with a supervisor and got things going. It was a long process but, hopefully, will solve my issues. If nothing else they should run a diagnostic for Triumph to look at to make sure the bike is setup properly. Triumph service is closed next week per my dealer so would be on your dealers doorstep after the first. Get it fixed now while in warranty.

Must give my dealer PowerSports in St Pete two thumbs up for their service in this issue. They keep pushing Triumph to get it right. Also asked that I call them on monday to let them know how bike ran today. Guess where I will buy my next Triumph (hopefully a TigerCub should it live again)

Have you checked which tune is loaded?

It must be the 'TOR' tune which is loaded.

The original tune is set to 'lean' out the mixture at constant revs, when it reaches the leanest fuel mixture it adds a bit then leans out again causing this surging feeling. Does this make sense? It's the easiest mod, just let your dealer check it out before you spend money and time on something else...

Chris.

Yeah, that's what mine does. TOR tune, blue flame, K&N, O2 sensor still in place.

cheers
