Thumbs down 06 Tiger still in shop

Well going on three weeks come this weekend that I have been without the Tiger. Starting to get frustrated since it's now my only bike and its new with less than 800 miles on it. Dealer finally got throttle position sensor on Tuesday after they fussed at Triumph who was supposed to have shipped it the previous Tuesday (and didn't, had to overnight). Got sensor installed and they sent readings off to Triumph this morning for them to look over. Will call in morning to find out whats up. Starting to have second thoughts on getting another Triumph. It's not like the 955i is new technology.

If bike is not ready tommorow going to ask dealer for a loaner for the weekend.

Feel better now that i've vented..................

RT. I would ask for a loaner until they give your bike back ( fixed, clean , with a full yank of gas and an apology for mucking you about . Or give your money back.

Its also not like its common to have these kind of problems with them. Not much solace if you happen to be the one having an issue I know. If you're dealer is anything at all though it will get sorted and you can go on about riding.

Other Motorcycle: only in my dreams
I hate to hear about your Tiger. I must be lucky: over 2500 miles without so much as a hiccup. Amazing bike and faster than my my buddy's Valkyrie.

This is definitely a dealer issue.

You need to MAKE them complete the repair and guarantee it.

Document everything said !

Tiger Issues

Can appreciate your frustration. The dealer seems co-operative and is trying to do what it can. Problemn may be with Triumph itself. I have had the swing arm rubbing block on order for 3 friggin weeks. Hey Triumph..."Customer Service" is not a slogan, should be a mantra in these economic times. Check out the posts about eliminating he O2 sensor in the system.....and the off road tune. Seems to have helped a few chaps.

Hi Swamper...
Have you talked with Capn Quack ... just up the road from you....
A new rubbing block on an '06 Tiger???
My '98 went 44,000 miles before I changed its rubbing block.

FYI: Put Baxter Cycle in your 'I need parts' book!! www.baxtercycle.com ... don't e-mail..
CALL THEM.

They have stuff 'on-hand' and often 'salvage' parts.

Parts......

Thanx for the input...will give em a shout wed...need a new gasket and some seals...all for my TBS. My TBS is a 99 with 14k on it. I really utilized all the performance and handling during those miles and now must pay for my excess...........but it been a hell of a great time.
