Broken Spokes ? Oh not, how about broken Rims

MOT time for this bike and the inspector sees the rims. Not a nice sight for a 96 thats been standing 2 years.

My Tiger has a couple of cracks on the edges of the spoke holes, but nothing like yours! The amount of corrosion is really scary! My '99 has 54K miles and doesn't have as much rust on the whole bike as you can see on one spoke on yours! The "Dry Heat" in Arizona really pays off as far as the metal parts go. It's death to plastic!
In some ways I think the MOT is a good thing, we end up having such crap on the roads in the US. It's frightening to be on the highway at 80mph and get passed by a POS car with bald tires and flapping body panels.....and a driver smoking, on the cellphone, having a coffee and yelling at kids! And they say WE take our lives in our hands!

Looks like it's time for some nice tasty black Excel rims.

I have a yellow Tiger with gold chain. The gold rims would look pretty........probably tacky!

Give "Brokenlegs" a shout on the visordown website, supermoto forum, he is a proper nice bloke and does wheels like "shipman" and morphine, and at a good price to, ask any of the lads/lasses on the site.
