RN no insults from me. Perhaps a change in the shocks, lower tire profile and or a lower seat. Let us know what you do. I am 5'11.5" with a 32.5 inseem. I have no problems with my footing though.

Sorry for the delay. I'm having to put the mods on hold for a couple of weeks. As far as what the shop said, well, they offered to soften the suspension, they can lower it another 0.5 inch in the front and they recommend the gel seat. Cost of the seat is an issue (post-Christmas bills are coming in), so that will be delayed for a bit. Unfortunately for my wife and credit card, I have found more mods i would like to add to the bike, such as frame sliders and crash bars, a bash plate, a top box and a taller windscreen. Luckily, my birthday is coming up in a couple of months...

Hagon Shock
I did say I'd cut you a deal..... Not looking to get much out of it, it is of no use to me sitting in a box in the garage. It would solve your problem with about 45 mins of installation time, and the Hagon is a sweet ride compared to the Triumph shock.
By Mapquest you are 220 miles away, PM me if you want option A) I'll send it to you to install and you can pay what you want when you want, or B) bring your bike here and I'll install it and you can pay what you want when you want and we can go ride afterward (I like that option), or C) you go through the dealer and pay a lot of money for mods that will make your bike handle like crap (DONT soften the suspension, you will regret it). The shortened sidestand comes with the package.
Just an offer to help a brother out, let me know

I'm 5'8" and 180lbs. I ride an '05 Tiger which is the stock height. All I can say is:
Don't sweat it, you'll get used to it.

Sorry, Digger. The Holiday has put a delay on anyhting bike related (I have half of my staff out today and only am posting because it's my breakfast time between corporate calls).
I'd like to know more about this Hagon shock. What makes it better than the stock shock?

Differences
A lot of people swear by Hagons, Ikons, etc.....
I bought the bike with the Hagon fitted, and rode it from FL to SC. COming from a cruiser (another Triumph), the ride was simply amazing, just cruised across the bumps. So my experience is limited to that one trip. But the bike was too low so I switched back to the stock shock. Big difference though. The Hagon is just better balanced.
Stock shock has preload adjustment (by taking the seat off and wrenching the adjuster) and rebound damping adjustment (screwdriver at the base of the shock), but no compression damping adjustment.
Hagon has the remote preload adjuster (mounted to the frame so you just reach down and dial in the ride), and rebound adjustment too, but also incorporates automatic compression and rebound balancing so you effectively retune the shock when you make an adjustment. It is also rebuildable (by sending back to Hagon) so is effectively a lifetime shock. Ride is just better, hand s down. If I had $450, I'd get a stock height Hagon tomorrow (the lowered shock was around $600, a $150 premium for the custom build), it is that much of an improvement.

grow your legs?
Dont mess with the suspension... That bike is meant to have alot of travel. I usually ride on road, but tried some hardpacked, not too ruttted trails, and the suspension travel was vey comfortable and never had a problem with handling. Im 5-11" too, and Ill get over it. Peace, out
