Well then Tonto there is no surprise there then. Better than 50/50 Chance of it being wet in Fort William (wettest place in the UK aparently) Glen Coe & Rannoch Moor is not far behind. Crossing Rannoch moor going north towards Glen Coe one summer day about 4 years ago is the only time I have ever seen rain going up the way as well as down. Blowing a gale & torrential rain, the watter was blowing off the road & verges as quick as it was falling, nastiest riding conditions I have ever experienced. By the time I got to Glen Coe village the sun was out & By the time I stopped in Fort William it was about 70 deg & hadn't been raining, folk kept giving me strainge looks as the water was still dripping off of me.
Scottish weather, you've got to love it cos there is sod all you can do about it. Having said that our weather gets a real bad press, it isn't half as bad as people make out. As Billy Conolly once said, "there is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes"
