An appeal from your Mod...
Hi folks,

Now that we have a new jazzy looking, all singing and dancing web site, can i ask you all to consider where to post your new threads please.

Remember that the Tiger forum has three clear sub-forums
1) General Tiger Chat
2) Tiger mod's and bolt-ons
3) Tiger workshop

It would help me greatly if you could all post into the most appropriate sub-forum. With that in mind, i will be having another tidy-up session over the next couple of days, so don't be alarmed if you see your post has been moved ok. All i will have done is move it to the best forum.

It makes historic searching som much easier for us all if threads are roughly speaking, in the right place.

Thanks to you all for the continuing success of this Tiger jungle we inhabit, it is still going from strength to strength......

Jim - Bigstripey

That's all Cool, but how do we get our avatars back? I see that the Moderators all have them...

Spacecom,

If you go to the 'User CP' link at the top left of the page (next to FAQ link) you get the option to customise your profile - signature - avatar....

Try it, and if you get any problems, let me know ok.

Jim

You need to click on 'Custom Avatar' ad it will remove the check next to the 'Do not use avatar' box.

Then you will need a photo or image to use as your avatar. The screen will show you what size the image must be etc.

Should work ok then ??

I hope you don't mind me, a T'Bird rider, butting in on a Tiger Forum (one of the really good features of the vBulletin set-up is the list of new posts across forums and as a consequence finding out that there is a Mod just down the road from me in Chelmsford!), but I think that presently only the Moderator User Group has the avatar option enabled. Similarly pictures in Signatures. Hence for the time being I think Jim and the other Mods are looking at an 'Edit Avatar' screen with a few more fields than the body of members. I am guessing that Shawn will enable these options for the rest of the members once he is satisfied with security issues (or whatever).

Just my guess.

TonyD,

Good to see you posting here in the Tiger forum, small world sometimes isn't it ?

Thanks for the heads up on that, you are probably right. I will check with Shawn, but what you say makes sense.

Spacecom, sorry i misled you there, i assumed that every had the same permissions right from the start!
