Hello All,
Well, I made the switch about a week ago from the Sprint ST to an Orange 03 Tiger. This bike is so much fun, I cannot get the cheesy grin off of my face. My back/neck and I love the riding position. Any who, I ordered the Cee Bailey #2 + 4/6 and tried it for five minutes. I am 6'0" and the new screen caused buffeting that blurred my vision. I also had the dreaded mirror clearance problem. Oh well, I guess I will send it back. As far as bars go, does anyone sell a cross-brace for the stock handlebars? If not, do the Renthal bars retain the stock bar ends and are they compatible with the factory heated grips.
Thanks for your input,
Craig

Craig
I fitted a Renthal crossbrace to the standard bars on my 04. No real benefit apart from it looks cool. I bought it from Busters accessories I think. If not it was M&P or MPS.
So far I have stuck to the standard screen and find it OK and a good speed limiter. I am 6 foot and find it fine up to a steady 85 and bursts up to 120+. :-D
Have fun on that Tigger

Hi Craig, I am surprissed you suffered buffeting problems with you Cbailys, I bought a dark Tint one for my 05 and it made a huge improvement on the standard screen, although I had to rotate the controls die to the mirrors, IMOP the standard screen is not great, I use my bike mainly for touring and have done France & Scotland this year, if not for the bigger screen I would have needed an enourmous amount of Asprin to hold of the head aces, just for your info I found the standard screen OK for short Sunday blasts, but useless for serious mile crunching 300-500 miles a day :-D
As for the Crossbar I bought one from Touratech, it was about £22 I use it for my GPS etc, and like Badger says it looks good :-D
Enjoy your bike it really is a hoot to ride hard and Tour on :-D

I have done 200+ mile rides cruising at about 80ish and although it is not perfect I don't get too much buffeting from the standard screen. When I start doing longer distances I will look into an aftermarket screen.
As we are only down the road from one another we'll have to meet up for a ride sometime.
Cheers
Bob

Hey Craig!
I fitted a Cee Baileys #2, 6x8.5 screen to my 02 Tiger.
Thought it might look ridiculously high when I ordered, but it looks great. I am 6'4" and sitting atop a Corbin saddle ( I sit about 2 inches higher than stock), and if I scootch down maybe 2-3 inches, all buffeting and wind is gone. I would think you would be fine with the taller screen and the stock seat.
I had some mirror clearance trouble (not bad, though), and fitted a pair of bar risers from GenMar. The bars are now higher and closer. The mirrors clear fine, but now the bottom corner of the bars will contact the tank and FULL turn. In the real world, it doesn't present a problem. If you are turned that far at speed, you have bigger problems than interference
I just finished the Land of Enchantment 1000 mile, 24 hour rally in New Mexico, USA, and the bike was great - comfortable and smooth.
Enjoy your Tiger!!!!!
