Other Motorcycle: None...dang it.
Extra Motorcycle: I wish.
Question - is your fuel gauge set to US gallons or Imperial gallons?

From Triumph we've been finding them set to Imperial gallons, that totally tweaks the MPG calculation as well as the miles to empty calculation and a bunch of other confusing electromoticityish stuff.

When all else fails - read MOM (Motorcycle Operators Manual).

Cheers!

When all else fails.....always reset your trip meter at fill ups. Then take note of how far it'll go on a tank full. Then you'll never need a fuel gauge.

Having said that. I recently rented a R1200GS out of LA. I noted that it too calculated the remaining range wrongly. From about the half full mark it would subtract miles at the rate of 2:1. I wonder if the BM and the Triumph use the same equipement?

The guage on my '06 was never very accurate, to begin with. Lately, however, it has gotten even worse. It reads nearly empty, when it's still almost half full.

Anyone tried altering the mechanical part of the mechanism to fool the sensor into giving a more realistic realistic reading?
