I've noticed that when I have my Touratech Aluminium luggage on my bike, I get a weave that takes some holding of the bars to stop it. This starts above 90mph and gets worse as I go faster.

Is there any way I can adjust my suspension setting to maybe compensate for the luggage and prevent this from happening ?

No they all do that sir

don't fight it you can not win just let it weave a bit

read the instructions that came with the boxes (do NOT go faster than 80mph I think)

it is something to do with having the aerodynamics of a crofters cottage.

loaded up should reduce the pitch and putting more weight on the front will reduce the amplitude. do not have the preload wound up too much, just enough so cornering is not wallowing.

should be good enough for 100+ but you pay for it in gas.

i find a good cruising speed is 85-90 over 90 and it hits me in the wallet slower than 85 is boring,

If you look at the info that comes with any cases/luggage it advises against going over 90mph with them fitted for the reason you've just raised. You can adjust the suspension for the additional weight but the weave is caused because of the wind buffeting, the cases are hardly aerodynamic.

I noticed on the Jesse case thread you mentioned a problem with Touratech. What was the problem if you don't mind me asking as I have always found them extremely helpful and their gear excellent.

Almost every Bike I have owned, including the GS, had handling which went downhill fully loaded. With panniers the norm advice is 80mph with almost all bikes and panniers etc. If you see the comic, Bike, there is an article on the best Giant Trailee's according to a readers survey. It reckons the handling on theTiger is worst of the bunch in the g iant Trailee class when loaded. I have never seen mention of that on this or any other Tiger forum. I also note that the 'Rider' survey reckons the Varadero is the top trailee now it has f.i. I think it was Bike magazine, or it might have been 'Ride'. Read it at the airport a few weeks back. Anyone else see it ?
