Has anyone noticed that the headlamps create a "triumph" emblem on the ground? I have never owned a triumph, is this normal? I owned a 2002 V-Strom before and the headlamps were impressively bright. The '07 Tiger's lamps are not even adequate. Any ideas on improvements? P.S. To all who choose to argue about minutia, I hope your gets more interesting. I find this site a good place to get ideas and to hear other riders opinions. Lets remember that they are what they are, ideas and opinions! SO, how do I get brighter headlamps legally?

Is that what that is, a Triumph logo? I would never have guessed. It looks like some superhero mask to me, or a cheshire cat grin with fangs.

I agree that the headlights need work. I may try to aim mine higher before I buy PIAA's or caliper-mounted Motolights.

Could be worth looking at some of the "50% brighter" Xenon type bulbs first. Triumph are always going to fit "run of the mill" bulbs at the factory. Worked wonders on my '02 955i.

Excellent option, I have mine on the way and see having he benefit of both lights on during the day and at night with adjustable intensity.

I haven't ridden yet at night, so I don't guess I understand either of the threads completely. Both lights shine on high beam, so I assume the item OKCTriple is buying makes both bulbs shine on low beam and the adjustment on the high beam bulb is so it is not too bright for low beam useage. Nothing is said of the bulb aiming, though, and the high beam bulb is aimed considerably higher than the low beam bulb.

If the complaint of some (that the lights are not bright enough) is for when the high beam is on, I don't see how the device will change that any. If the complaint is for when the low beam is on, then the device should make a huge difference because you are adding an additional higher wattage bulb (with adjustable brightness) that is aimed higher than the low beam bulb.

It certainly sounds like a good solution without changing a bunch of stock parts.

Have now covered over 5000km on our Tiger 1050 and done a number of night runs. At first I wasn't impressed however on my way home tonight on moonless unlit roads I found myself re-appraising my initial observations as the reach and spread on high beam seemed good.

Thinking back, my initial impressions where formed mainly due to the unlit area on left hand corner apexs when cranked over. This situation virtually leaves one riding blind. You would have to say slightly disconcerting!
