Bad decision. After three major warranty calls in 3000 miles I called it a day. I got tired of seeing my bike disappear on the back of an AA van off to the dealer - again. The last straw was cutting out dead at 80 mph in the rain on the M1 with a herd of cars coming up behind.

this would be my concern about the duc. great motors, but they're like ferraris, nothing you want as a daily driver. but i dunno as a harley rider maybe you're used to that  sorry couldn't resist, ever since i saw no less than 5 harleys on the side of the road all on their way to a get together in hollister i can't think of them as anything else but unreliable.
anyway. i've read good things about the Aprilia CapoNord, you may want to consider that. it has toned down Mille motor, i haven't driven one, but i've driven a Mille and that is a wonderful motor. my wife has the little 650 aprilia and it's a great bike. clean design well put together, nice components.
althought the '05 tiger looks better i think it's overdue for a proper redesign, the GS and Apirilia are starting to make it looked dated...but then i drive a steamer so i know all about -dated- tigers :-D
if you can get a hold of brit moto mags, i think it was TWO (two wheels only) had a great big trailie comparo a few months ago. i -think- the tiger wasn't included but one reviewer owned a tiger and voiced his opionions on how the tiger fit in.
all that said i love my tiger, but for me they are the kind of bike i would buy used. well any bike over $10k i would buy used. mainly because i know for every $10k bike out there i could get two $5k bikes that are just as much fun...or even more fun.
that's just my twisted opinion. again sorry for the harley stab, i really can't help myself. them, ktm, and ducati are the three bikes i consider to be unreliable, fussy, or a pain in the ass to maintain but i understand why people like them. i'd still buy a ktm or ducati if the price was right
