Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself to the Tiger forum. My name is Alex and I live in south-central Pennsylvania. I'm 32, married, and have two great kids.

This is my second Triumph triple, my first being a Thunderbird which I owned for the previous five years. I have been active in the Thunderbird portion of this site, but have not posted very much here in the Tiger forum. I had been considering the Tiger for a few years, and I am very happy to now be a part of the Tiger family.

Just this past Monday I had the good fortune to pick-up a Tiger 1050 from Capital Area Triumph. It was their demo bike, but only had 120 miles on it. I have been riding it whenever possible this past week. It is a fantastic bike and I look forward to the 1000 mile marker when it is officially broken-in and ready for full revs more regularly.

Here are some pics of my big cat. There are a few more in my photo album.

Alex,

Welcome along to the Tiger Jungle. Good to see you here.
The knowledge is growing all the time for the new 1050, so if you come across anything that may be of interest to the other 1050 owners, please post it up. We would all appreciate that.

Enjoy your time here....

Jim

Good to see a non-gereatric on a Tigger

How did it go on that gravel road in pic2?

Cheers

Thanks I look forward to using this part of the forum.

The Tiger enjoyed that bit of gravel road. It will be a good bike for exploring.

I think the new 1050 will be very appealing to my age group. I predict there will be plenty of younger Tiger riders like me soon enough.

:lollol: Thanks man. I can tell you're jealous. ;-)

I'd let you call me a traitor if I'd have bought a Ducati instead. As it is, I'm still a RAT through and through. I just moved from old school to new school. :hihi:

I am doing my damndest trying to figure out how to squeeze that 1050 into my bird, LOL

I admit, I am a bit jealous. But I also know that my 6'4" 285 pound self really needs a Rocket III!!! :-D

Welcome Rincewind!

I'm tipping you're another Pratchett fan. Do you still have your luggage?

Mick
