well, thats it theres no going back! I picked up my Tiger (955) yesterday and even with the ludicrously low 3500rpm limit on it i'm totally hooked. What a bike. see a corner.... point the bike at it.... and around it goes. no drama. I'm lovin this. Doing my best to run it in this week

Welcome to one of the best kept secrets in motorcycling. And you will soon be able to thrash the rear end off certain "sports bikes" on bumpy roads, when they are busy being sea sick you can sail serene. You'll see. Welcome .... :hammer:

Hi Itchyfeet,

I'm coming in late here but welcome!

Not only will you be able to show those sportsbikes up on some terrain but you will always be able to walk normally after a hard two hour trash

I had two glorious hours on a 955 Daytona at high speed on the weekend. How did they pack all those extra horses into the 955? Fantastic thing, but everywhere else but flat out I'd rather be on tigger.

Hey Itchey, Welcome to the forum. I am a bit confused though, did you purchase an '07 or a an '06? I ask because you mention it is new and in your "rides" description it sais 07 955i. However, the '07 has a 1050 motor and the earlier model has the 955. Either way I'm glad you're lovin it, just want to make sure were thinking the same.

Hey okctriple,
yeah just to clarify, my Tiger is an 06 manufactured 955i that being all spangley fresh out the box an all carry's an 07 registration. Sort of fly's in the face of the u.k. bike mags that classified the "old" Tiger as dead and buried, when plenty of 07 registered bikes are still leaving dealerships as fast as ferets up drainpipes! :hammer:

Well that's cool, I just about purchased an '06 as the '07 was being released. Tuned out that the '07 happen to be just what I was looing for. The 955i is an excellent machine and I'm sure you will be very happy with it. I think I would have been happy with it as well.
