What are they like people !! :???: I saw a pair on e bay, brand new and some bounder beat me to them at the last second !(Well done to you if you lurk here :-D ) I bunged Distanzia's into the search and found nil about them ? :???: On the Avon web site they say they are a road based tyre for giant trailees.

Has anyone tried them on a Tiger and how did you find them ? They seem a well priced tyre

I have heard of them and seen them on things like caponords and varadero's. But i don't know anyone with a Tiger to have fitted them (ready to stand corrected). It seems like the top three are
Metzeler Tourances
Michelin Annakees
Michelin T66X's
If they were good for the Tiger, i think we may have heard about it by now from all the members around the world ?

Dave: I wore out a set of Distanzias on my old BMW R100 that I had converted into a Dual/Sport bike (since bought a Tiger and converted the old BMW back). They were rough, noisy, shorter profile than my standard rear, and did'nt make me feel real good in hard cornering. I'm going to go with more Tourances on my Tiger when I wear these out, way better all around tire. The Distanzia has much more agressive tread, more dirt than street, but I have no complaints with the dirt performance of the Tourance. Hope this helps.

I you want a road tyre, you can fit BT20's tubed or tubeless dependant on wheel type.

I put Avon Distenzas on my previous Tiger 855. This bike had less power than my current 955 and I found that the Avons gripped OK and seemed to have OK wear characteristics. I had a big problem with the handling. The seemed to make the bike want to tip into corners far more than any other tyre. I thought I would get used to this but never did and did not like the tyres at all and changed them when they were about 1/2 worn!!!
I use Michelin Anakees now and they are far far better.
