I'm going to try and modify the stock wind shield. I'll need to heat it to bend it, how do you do it?

Oven? What temp for how long?

Thanks!

Try around 200 degrees Fahrenheit and keep checking it. As soon as it is flexible it is ready to bend. If you leave it in too long it's toast. Best experiment with a piece of s***** first, and use a tray not the rack. Don't let the wife know you are using her best cookie sheet. It is a dodgy bit of business unless you have a mold that you are sitting the shield on. I've had to s***** many a piece of plastic. In the end I custom made an oven so I could fit a bulky mold in it. Good luck.

Maybe smaller task that what your trying. Open flame on gas stove. Bent around coffee can to shape. Gloves of course. It's the heat not the flame....Hold shape until cooled....Your mileage may vary of course!

Thanks guys. I'm going to cut down the stock shield to make a bigger wing for the MRA.

Heat gun. Carefully! The oven trick, if it gets away from you, can stink up the house for days!

Heatguns work well for plexiglass but I've never had much success with the harder plastics like Lexan. The heat spread doesn't seem to be large enough. Any new tricks or techniques are always welcome. I made a large winter windshield for the tiger this fall. The plastic bit was simple but it took me a while to sort out the support system. I've had it up to just over a hundred mph with no flutter from the screen, the bike, or me!
