Better front springs would reduce dive. I ride a2005 which has stiffer springs. If you are competent to remove the forks then do it yourself (I'm not)

Hugger is very worthwhile.I fitted one no problem.

Rear suspension worthwhile and I would only undertake if competent,as you need to get this right. A good mechanic makes it look easy,as when my Tbird was done.

I would also recommend heated grips for cold weather and Touratech engine bars if you are on the short side.

Also hard luggage and you have a very capable tourer.

I have all the above on mine plus a gel seat and the bike will pretty much do anythinh.

If you only do one mod change the fork springs, if you do two change the rear shock as well. I have a Hagon shock and their progressive fork springs, Shock drops rear by 25mm, and I also dropped the front forks through the clamps by 25mm. I have done this on my 02 and it improves the handling quite a lot.

The other worthwhile mod is the LED dash light conversion found on the tiger workshop forum. Essential if like me you tended to leave the turn indicators on!

WW, before you do the one thing that Catuck suggests, fit heated grips.

I have to agree about the suspendies though - the front end on my 06 is fine but the rear feels , well, a bit 'budgety'. It works OK but nothing more than OK IMHO. I will at some point invest in a Hagon shock with the remote adjuster. The OE shock is not bad enough to make me rush this £350 purchase though!

My previous Tiger was an '93 model Steamer which had 34000 miles on when I traded her in. I think the OE shock on that bike was better than the OE on the 06.

Jonny's right I should of added heated grips, if your hands are warm end of.

Front springs are on the 02 were sorted by the 05 model, so if you do one thing on an 02 after heated grips, hagon progressive fork springs.......
