Spicytiger: We don't have Chevron Stations in Wyoming, but I run an 8oz bottle of Techron (from the Autozone) through a tank of gas every 3,000 miles or so in my Tiger, R1100 and Guzzi. I understand fuel injected bikes like it, it cleans the system. I also go to great lengths to always find High test gas with no ethanol, though sometimes it's not possible out here. We can sometimes run for 150 miles down the highway without a gas station (or one thats open anyway).
Anyway, i'm a believer in the Techron.

Yes, mine gets Chevron premium between half and two-thirds of the times I fill up. The rest of the time, it gets Phillips 66 premium; just depends which town I'm in when I notice it's running low. It likes both just fine.

I've been using Chevron premium fuels in all our vehicles since moving to Hawaii. Got started on it when we purchased a BMW 325es. It was the only stuff that would keep it from pinging. Then I found out that at one of the regular service intervals BMW would add the Techron Fuel treatment as well. Later we got the same recommendations for our 318i and now our Mini Cooper.
I fooled around with Shell for awhile in our Honda bikes and my TBS. I found that the engine on the TBS was happier with the Chevron. The Honda's didn't care. The Tiger does not seem to care much either, just as long as it's premium. My wifes Sportswear pings with the Shell medium grade fuel but not either of the premium brands.
Long term, the two BMW's and one Honda car had over 130k miles each when we let them go. My TBS has 78k, the Tiger 42k and the Mini a little over 20k. Even the low mileage HD is running fine.
OTOH, I understand that fuels are formulated differently in different parts of the US and world. YMMV
