Speaking about engines....what are the major differences between the 855i and the 955i besides the obvious difference in size. Is there a big power difference? What about Mechanical issues with the two? What things should I look for in the 01 955i engine, since it is the first year for the 955i in the Tiger (please correct me if I am wrong)?

both engins are bullet proof. the biggest dif is the 955 engine is lighter and much more power. i think the lighter is the biggest advantage, the power is nice but not really needed. i think the 955s handle better and may get better mpg. dont know for sure tho. I get 50 if i am being nice.

The 955i runs quieter than the 885 engine.
