How is it for long rides two-up? Particularly with the luggage on?

I'm 6'4"/210lbs and my wife is 5'4"/110lbs so she's small but would she be comfortable?

I really want the 07 but I also want to tour - would it work?

Thanks in advance!

I doubt if anyone has had one long enough to give you an accurate assessment. At 5"4" it might be ok for your wife. I suspect you'd want a top case or fashion a back rest for her. Try www.tiger1050.com, perhaps some of the Englishmen have 2 up experience by now.

When I got my '07, I kept my '05 Tiger because I was afraid that the new one wouldn't be as comfortable on the long haul, and the Tiger is the bike I use for travel. However, now that I've had the '07, the longest I've ridden it is 300 miles in one day (it's winter, and very cold here), and it was supremely comfortable - no aches, no pains in this 66 year old body. In fact, I'm so confident that it's going to be a great long distance bike, that I traded my '05 today on a new Scrambler.

As to the pillion, my wife is 5'3", weighs 103, and has only sat on the back of the '07, but says that she thinks it would be more comfortable than the '05. This is only a guess, as she always rides her own bikes, and won't ride with me anymore. She didn't feel that the new one pushed her into me like the old one did. Again, only a guess on the two-up.
