Has anyone put on of the dig a hole in the garage floor and pour in concrete type ground anchor?

If so how did you break up the concrete in the garage?

Easier to put the bolt down type. But if you insist you need a lump hammer, a good stone chisel and perhaps a hammer drill to get you started. No easy job though.

I've done several with a rotary hammer drill and used an expandable sleeve type anchor that the bolt threads into.

Depends how deep the hole needs to be.
Might be quicker to hire a core drill. Otherwise drill lots of small holes and chisel it out.
Mind your mince pies though.

To be honest I dont bother with a ground anchor or even chain my bikes up in the Garage. My Garage is very secure and if someone goes to all the bother of breaking in, they can take the bike. I have protected No Claims on my insurance. The insurance companies dont offer any discount for chaining your bike up in a locked garage.

You're right nobby400 there's enough tools in most garages to break the ground anchor/ chain.
A more secure garage door would be better.

Dont you guys put your bike in your lounge? A friend of mine put the chains in before he laid the slab, i have seen some clips online and most of the chains cut easy. Maybee an alarm is the way to go
