The bad news is the last 48 hours here in Kansas City has seen rain, sleet, ice and snow...
The good news is I'm five miles due west of the local Triumph/BMW dealer and it's a major carriageway (that's my British slang for major highway!).
The funky AWD Honda Element got me there with no problems. I'm the only one in the place at 3pm. It's me and four guys working the parts/supply counter. I feel like a bloody hand surrounded by sharks.
I've only worn Shoei helmets the last ten years. No particular reason other than the fact they just seem to feel right when I walked down the line of helmets and tried'm all on.
This time around....the Arai Quantum II just feels right. And, I really dig the dull, matte black - kind of a sinister look to go with my black Cafe Racer DUC.
It shouldn't look too bad with the blue Tiger.....for those times when I glance to my right, see image in store windows and wink at myself, feeling all free and cool and alive! LOL
Oh yeah, when I start spending money, I sometime get on a roll. This time, the grey leather Triumph jacket is speaking to me.
OK weather, I'm ready for spring. The 06 Tiger will arrive home next week. The new helmet fits perfectly. The leather Triumph jacket is beggin' to be worn....
By the way, according to that clock inside my head, the official start of spring here in KC is March 1st. There's just something magically psychological about that date. If I can make it thru the winter blues till March 1st, then I'm home free....
