Got my copy in today's post. Some interesting articles in the mag, particularly the Japanese one. It is a long and expensive process to get a large bike licence over there.
The DVD is impressive, good soundtrack to go with the videos and more interesting than a catalogue. The 07 Tiger is prominent and certainly comes across as a Speed Triple based model with touring potential. I think I will be needing a test ride !

Yeah, I enjoyed the DVD too but was frustrated by the Tiger feature. I just wanted to see it !! Not be endlessly teased by soft focus dimly lit shots. Seems they let the marketting guys go off at a tangent on that one.

The DVD generally underlines the direction Triumph are heading. Capitalising on the heritage of the name and broadening their appeal to the fashion conscious upwardly mobile set, laden with disposalable income available for shiney fine weather toys!

That said, Mr.Bloor must be very proud of what he's achieved in a relatively short time period. Hmmmm...time to shed a few pounds and grow some designer stubble

I'm not sure this is a good time of year to try to lose weight, the pub is constantly beckoning at the moment. I'm sure the old leathers will be a bit tighterfor a while.
Triumph must have spent a few bob on the production of the videos. I suppose it indicates confidence. The emphasis is certainly on cruisers, retros and heritage so that must be where the big market is, i.e. America ?
In fairness the overall model range is the best ever and Triumph have transformed the range in the last 3 years. I can only see further success. Why have they never produced a red Tiger ?

They did for a few years at the very least. In fact it was one of the very first colour options on the 1993 Tiger - complete with colour coded engine covers.

You're right that the Steamer came in red,but never the 885/955. I think red would suit tyhe 07 model as it is sports biased.
For me Triumph went through a phase of handicapping theire bikes with strange colour schemes. For instance Sprint RS and even the Daytona in acidic yellow. The newer colours are good but only a limited choice.
I always thought the Thunderbird Sport could have been produced in more classic colours, rather than the orange offerings. Never mind because the scorched yellow is spot on.

I hate that.

Maybe their excuse is that the feature was filmed prior to the rollout and was intended to be a tease piece. But I still hate the whole tantalize technique that they seem to teach in Marketing 101.
