Hi all,

Was just looking at this pic of the 2006 and 2007 Tiger and was thinking... On the odd occasion I see a Pre-2007 Tiger passing me on the other side of the road, they usually get an extra-large nod / thumbs up (which is ALWAYS returned)... You can spot 'em a mile off... But the new one... looks so generic. Is it a Fazer, or a TDM? Of course this means nothing (and isn't a dig at the 2007 Tiger), but has the individuallity gone?

I still think it's pretty unusual. At least it is around here. We have an abundance of Sport Riders in my area and I always take notice whenever I see anyone riding a bike with a fully upright riding position. If it's not a BMW then I REALLY take notice. Been hoping something like the new Tiger would come along. I expect I'll be ordering one as soon as I can get a test ride.

Well, I'm itching to buy one where as before, I'd never considered a Tiger. I just couldn't past the bulbous look and the stripes. That's me...no disrespect. I don't think the 07 is going to win any sexy or distinctive awards but it's a massive visual improvement (again, to my eyes). To read that it has great rideability, brakes, handling etc... is awesome. Plus, it's a Triumph. says so right in the tank!

Good point but although I love my bike, the front-on view of the 955i is it's least attractive look. Whenever I see a Tiger coming towards me it always looks tall and really thin. I often think that can't be the bike I'm actually riding! The new model is certainly easier on the eye but may be less noticable to all but those in the know. There are only a hand full of bikes as tall as the new Tiger so it shouldn't be too difficult to pick out the combination of height and the gold forks.

chrisn.I agree,I don't like the look of my Tiger from the front,it's ok from the rear,I suppose.I'm sure the 1050 Tiger will be my next bike.But having put £1000 of extras on my 05 and with 2 kids at university I will have to wait until 2008. I rode mine to Wales yesterday,the weather was drizzly and the roads a bit muddy,but I still enjoyed the ride,more so than on other bikes I suspect.I'm very impressed with Michelin Pilot Roads in wet conditions.And the Tiger still looks good when it's dirty which is a bonus.

I am glad my computer isn’t in the garage, if my poor baby could read what you are saying about her looks mr neary :-D ,she is beautiful, from every angle, she is unique, unlike the new one, which as I said from the first photos, looks just like a lot of other bikes.

I really hope triumph sell lots of them, just to keep the name alive, but she aint a tiger and never will be in my eyes.

But I suppose that’s why some people like curry and some people don’t, it’s a matter of taste, and I hope the people that buy the new one will have even a fraction of the fun I have on mine, wooping all those sports bikes on twisties, and doing 700 miles in a day and getting off feeing fresh as a daisy.
