Kurt,
I had the same problem, cured it with a type of rubberised mesh it works an absolute treat.
Since I put it on Kim just loves being on the back now, maybe it's a rubber thing, I don't know
I've posted pic's in the Tiger trails album, so you can see what it is like.

Tango has sent me a couple of photo's of the cover for the pillion seat. I have posted them in the Tiger Trails album, in the Saddle sub-album. The camera flash has lightened the true colour considerably, so don't be put off by that. It is not as lights as it appears.
Take a look.
Jim

I needed more leg room on my 02 VStrom so I had a local upholstery guy add foam , reshape and recover the stock seat to my liking. Worked great on 600 miles days.
Now, the stock seats on my 05 Tiger are at the shop being reshaped and recovered for the same reason.Cost $130-150 usd.. Wife is still mad at me for getting rid of the comfy old tourer we had and says that she does not like the forward slopping pass seat, especially with the Triumph trunk and backrest.
But hey. If she's still not happy, I may have to ride alone.. Poor me.

Tango,
Where did you get the mesh material? It looks like it's permanantly installed over the stock seat. Is that correct?

Is the stuff they use for the gel seats any less slippery? Or is the seat shaped any better? I can't tell from the pics posted here and of course the dealer has none in stock.

It has seemed a little less slippery here, but that may vary with what one is wearing.

WildeKurt,
I got mine at the Scottish Bike Show, but most decent bike shops stock it, at least they do in the UK.
It comes as a 1 metre square. I cut it to shape the seat and then stapled it on, so yes it is a permanent fix.
Cheap as chips and well worth it.
the midget don't fidget no more :-D

Hey Guys!
I recently purchased my second Corbin seat ( the first one was on my 1991 CBR1000). The quality is outstanding. High quality leather and vinyl. The seating surface is wide and flat, so long legs are needed to keep both feet planted at stoplights. I can't speak for the gel seat, but the overall shape doesn't look much different from the stocker. I've had the seat on the Tiger now for about a month, and have received at least 5 compliments on the looks. It really does look great on the bike. As soon as I can figure out how to get a picture from my hard drive to the website, I'll post it!!
I had my last Corbin for 6 years (about 21,000 miles), and it looked like new when I sold the CBR. I highly recommend one!!!!!
