Anyone out there an AGV helmet wearer? I've been wearing AGVs for twenty years, ever since Bell folded up. Just bought a new V-Flyer and the thing is made in China. Couldn't believe it. And it has the fit and finish you'd expect from China: $h1t. The thing is noisy and fits some species other than human. The interior is cheap. The question is, are any of the AGV models still made in Italy? I don't want to have to change brands again!

I dont think it's just helmets. Clothing etc is being made in China and the quality is going down the pan. I liked Belstaff clothing that was made in Britain, then was made in the far east and was rubbish. Now they just make fashion cloths.

Don't know about your helmet mate but I too mourn the passing of Belstaff. Fortunately I have an old jacket and trousers that I keep going. Re-stitched seams and currently tying the zip up with a shoelace - looking into a replacement zip. I like this kit and I can't find anything else that does it all.

Also it goes well with having a Triumph but not wanting to wear uniform kit like the BMW crowd do

The whole riding gear industry is a mess. It seems that if you want a quality product made by your countrymen, you're talking custom like Vanson, Z or Bates (in the US). There's a shrinking industry in Italy. Everything else comes from The Third World. Not really limited to riding apparel I suppose. We're all being outsourced. I'm pissed.

I use a Belstaff Explorer jacket in winter, it's the warmest and best jacket I have ever owned. Dont know what I will replace it with when it's worn out.

Have some Hein Gericke gear that's very good, they look like the only good replacement for Belstaff gear.

i have all hein gerick gear and i find it very good,and they have a 2 year no quibble guarantee on all the stitching,i dont know where its made but the quality seems good.

I hate China and everything that comes from there!
I've told everyone to only buy me a Christmas pressie if it's got MADE IN ENGLAND stamped on it...

Oh no, did i mention Christmas... :hammer:

Never the less, I don't expect to be up early opening boxes on the 25th this year.
