Hey homies -

I live in LA. I ride to work everyday. On Sundays I roam as far south as Anza Borrego and Julian, as far north as Solvang. But I never see any Tigers. Where you at, Tigers? Are you all nocturnal? Is there a secret Tiger cave? Just wondering.

Let's get together. How about we form a violent, Tiger-mounted biker gang for the purpose of running drugs and guns across the border? No? How about we assemble at a retirement home and run errands for the sick and shut-ins then?

Or we could just meet up for coffee some Sunday to talk about warped discs, DARs and how the hail are we going to cross all those rivers in the Congo with them @#*&$/## new 17" front wheels?

BTW, the Hansen Dam Brit Bike Ride is coming up first Sunday in November again. If you haven't been before, it's a great event. Hundreds of cool bikes and riders, super roads, and pretty medals for all British bikes in attendance. It's sponsored by those creepy and clannish Norton fools, but for one day a year they are very tolerant of all brands of every continent and era. (Just kidding, Norton fools. I'm just jealous.) It would be nice to see a good turnout of the big Hinckley cats. If anyone's interested, we could meet up early for cuppa cuppa burning brew and then ride to the event in a big, scary over-caffeinated pack.

Post here or drop me a PM.

Cheers,
Tri2Fly

...live in Temple City/Arcadia area & look forward to the Norton event in November. It is good for 300-400 bikes, interesting folk and some neet vintage machines. Ride 3 times a week to work on a Silver Tiger.

With 2 kids and wife, can schedule to hook up for a meet. How about El Monte Airport on Santa Anita - little airport cafe is pretty good...

Nortonians are running it now? Used to be the BSAOCSC when I went way back in the olden days. One of the things I miss being way up north. But I still have a BSA, mostly for looking at.

Hello all. I knew you were out there. Looks like we could get something going.

I'll be sure to follow up with a calendar item for the Hansen Dam ride. El Monte airport is a new idea. I like it. Saturday or Sunday preference?

Hey Anthouse. The Nortons do the fall ride. BSA guys still run one in the spring.

I love Death Valley, but March probably won't work for me. Work issues throughout that month and another trip planned March 10-18.

I own a 2003 Speed Triple, but on Saturday I might purchase a 2003 Tiger. So I might be yet another Tiger owner in Los Angeles. I can't wait!!!!!

OK Timo!

With a DR, an S3 and a Tiger, you'll have a fitting ride for any occasion. (And you will NEVER run out of wrenching and farkling projects.)

Post some pics of your new Tiger when you get it.

The Tiger needs the side stand replaced, as it was cut shorter by the previous owner.
I ordered Touratech cross-bar for the handlebars.
Then I ordered 20MM handlebar risers as well for added comfort.
