Iv just been sent a tempting offer from my local dealer. New 2006 Tiger in caspian blue, £5990 on the road and it includes £500 worth of Triumph clothing of my choice. Im very tempted and its just the right time as my T100 needs a service.
The only doubt in my mind is
1) Will I fall for the 2007 Tiger and regret buying now?
2) Has the anoying vibraton which caused me to sell my 05 Tiger been eliminated with the anti back lash clutch etc fitted to the current bikes.

Bite his hand off!
:-D
However, I suspect you know already what you want to do.
The new Tiger looks a quite different proposition from the current animal.
You either want that sportier, leaner, more techy proposition, or your are happy saving £2k, and living with the current, and rather brilliant Tiger, with its characterful and imperfect nature!

I've got an 05 Tiger. What vibration are you talking about? I've got 12,000 miles, and all is well.

I DID replace the ***** tires with Pilot Roads, and installed Hagon fork springs and 10w fork oil. Those changes made me want to keep the bike a long time. Maybe I'll get an 08 or 09.

Agree with the Duck - BITE HIS HAND OFF! An excellent bike does not become a bad bike just because a newer model is brought out.

Although I've not ridden any other Girlie, my 06 feels well sorted even though I've modded (and plan to mod further). At that price, you could probably sell it on in a year or two if you changed your mind orl get a good px deal.

Sounds too good to pass on, especially if its come at a time you want to change bikes.

With the 06 standard luggage, heated grips, centre stand, and the £500 clothing deal, I reckon you'll be £3000 better off than waiting for an equivalent new 07 purchase.

Sounds like a great deal.

Hard to beat by any other package.

I wish I had never opened the letter from Eddies Triumph. Its so tempting and the very few problems I had with the 05 machine may have been sorted. The vibration I had on the 05 may only have effected a few bikes, but it pulsed through the left foot rest end seat, enough to worry my wife who occasionally rides pillion. I also dropped the bike in a river crossing and cursed the designer who failed to protect the huge tank in a slow speed spill.
I will go to the open day an Sunday and if my wallet twitches I may be collecting a new bike this time next week. The unfortunate thing is I will never see the 07 before having to make my mind up.
PS marauder2, what time are you going, just in case its a race for the best deal? Is Eddies of Leeds the only Triumph dealer offering such good deals?

You wont be crossing any rivers on the new Tiger!

Get yourself the old one and buy some crash bars with the grand you've saved...

and thick socks, never heard of any bike 'pulsing' on one side only..?

Chris.
