The U.S. Haynes site lists the Tiger manual (#3755) as covering 955's through 2000. U.K. site shows same manual covers through 2005. Are U.S. models different after 2000?
Anyone know????

Cheers, :???:

Hey, Tigercat.
I thought I would take a look at this new manual I just got from Haynes and compare it to what is on the USA website.
Until a few days ago, there was a Haynes for injected triples up to 2000 or so, i.e., not covering my 03 Tiger, on the UK site. Then this new one appeared on the site, covering
T595 Daytona, 955cc, 97 to 98
955i Daytona, 955cc, 99to 05
T509 Speed Triple, 97 to 98
955i Speed Triple, 955cc, 99 to 04
Sprint ST, 955cc 99 to 04
Sprint RS, 955cc, 00 to 03
Tiger, 885cc, 99 to 00
Tiger, 955cc, 01 to 05.
This is the one I bought and received today.
ISBN 1 84425 291 4.
I have just had a look on Haynes UK site, and the book they had listed covering injected models to 2000 has disappeared, possibly having been replaced by this new book. The book showing on the USA website looks to be this deleted book. I would suggest, (don't shoot me if I'm wrong), that the one showing on the USA site is about to be replaced by this book I have.
As for differences between UK and US bikes, I can't help, BUT, it does look like Haynes are having a bit of a reshuffle.

Thanks Skidpan,
Guess I'll give Haynes a few days and see if they update their site on this side of the pond.

How's the coverage? Good pictures, diagrams? Would it keep a shade tree from hurting himself or his ride?

Cheers, :hammer:

Looks ok at a glance. You never really know until you are using it with a vengeance and then find the one view you need of a component is the one view you don't get....
By the way, whats a 'shade tree'?

New world slang, a "shade tree mechanic" self taught, not a graduate of any known mechanical training course. Most of his good judgment comes from lots of bad judgment!

I was just about this order this book but this discussion of an updated version coming out has got me wondering. I went to the US version of the Haynes site and they list mdl# 3755 which is the same mdl# as the new Haynes book on the UK site. The UK site shows a blue bike on the cover where the old book has a red bike on the cover. It would appear that the book has definitely been updated to include the newer bikes. My concern is getting the old stock if I order now. I think I will wait I bit longer and let the shelves restock.
BTW the US site is a bastard stepchild compared to the UK site.

Hey Sonoma,
I agree, I'll either wait till the new manual is available here or order one from across the pond. Guess I could email Haynes USA and ask them when the updated manual will be available. Whaddayathink?

Cheers,

I think it is going to be hard to tell as that they use the same mdl# for the old and the new. To be sure use the ISBN# 1844252914 and you should get the new book. The ISBN# is new number even though the Haynes mdl# did not change. I can't stand paying extra shipping to the US so I will wait a bit.

So thats what it means. I imagine there is probably a wet weather version that would apply to Brits?

Umbrella mechanic, perhaps?
