Only a tiny bit of rain so no sweat i didn't even put my waterproofs on.We got all the way to newton abbot from Rossendale without a hitch, then we got caught up in a traffic queue. There was a lad knocked of a Kawasaki on the other side of the road and the rubber neckers were out i force.Lilly(my bike,Tiger Lilly)started to get really warm and we had only been going in the traffic a few moments then i thought I'll turn off the engine but when i came to restart Lilly was quite reluctant but after a few tries she fired up and was then idling at 1700-1800 revs but after the traffic cleared all returned to normal(but Ive booked Lilly in to be remapped, because i think the tick over was the cause of the overheating she ticks over at 1500 all the time and Ive complained once to no avail).Carried on,a little concerned but the rest of the journey to brixham was uneventful
woke up at about 0500 with my conscious shouting lets go now so with that i jumped up and told Mrs judgeged that i was going to lands end today and then i would be able to come back and have a few beers and a swim (in our outdoor heated pool, well we rented it)before i set off in earnest tomorrow
I took a rather shaky picture of Lilly and set off.A little rain over bod min moor but no real worries,so i carried on without putting on my w/proofs
Well what can i say me and monkey(my pet monkey he comes on all long journeys and used to come when i drove hgv class 1) turned the last bend to lands end and then i saw it the biggest hooker Ive ever seen lands end is nothing but a heavily overworked prostitute and boy is she working hard it was a bit disappointing to say the least
we took the obligatory piccies under the pole managing to avoid all the kiss me quick hat routine at least the ride down was fun although a bit ruined in places by a 40 mile an hour limit
We went back to Brixham feeling used and cheap
but had a well earned rest and soak in the pool and a few beers
photos and pt2 to follow

Well you see, Lands End is privately owned and therefore you can't really blame them for trying to rob every visitor.
You'd do the same in their shoes.......right?
