How much noise should a tiger make ???

Mines seems to purr or growl from the engine and seems quite loud. Is this normal for a Tiger (I've upgraded from a whisper quiet CB500 ).

Have a 03 Tiger..ratt-ly since new. Fretted about this until I read a comparison test which included a Speed Triple.

The tester compared the engine noise to a wash machine loaded with a bucket of bolts. Since then I think it is quiter...or I have developed selective hearing.

Depends if its male or female!

Wear ear plugs forget the noise and just enjoy the ride!

A Tiger does growl a bit. From what I've heard of the 885 engines, those tend to be noisier than the 955 version, too.

the newer 955 version are quieter sinse they moved the alternator jackshaft away from the cam chain shaft but the earlier ones are noisy and sloppier design
