Hi there!!

I´m going to be a more frequent "client" of this forum. Í am going to get my new Tiger next week. It´s a british racing green 2004/5 model.
It is going to be a radical change: my last bike was a TT600!!
I even thought af a ST but it was more expensive and, besides the Tiger came with lots of extras, my wife (my alltime passenger) and I thought that this bike would be more suitable to looonnnggg distance travels.
I´m only expecting not to regret of this choice (i´ve always been a sportsbike guy).
As soon as I get it I´ll post my impressions.

See ya

Nice One!

Although most of the chat here is on the Injected breed of Tiger, there are a number of carb Tiger riders here.

Whatever the case, you are getting a very capable machine that you will find deceptively fast when you want it to be. They are very reliable, and i know of only one real issue with the engine.

I don't know what mileage it has got on it, but it may be wise to ask if the bike has suffered with D.A.R (Dreaded Alternator Rattle). the shaft that drives the alternator has been prone to sheer, and it is a big job to repair. It doesn't seem to affect all Carb Tigers, but there is a significant number that have.

But, they handle, they are quick, look good and have the name Tiger on them....what else does it need ?

welcome m8

I also moved from an 02 TT600 to a Tiger and you will not be disappointed. yes the Tiger is not as nimble as the Tt but because the suspension is more compliant it gives much more confidence on less than perfect roads.

enjoy :-D
