Does anyone know about any engine performance kits for the Tiger 955i?
When I bought the bike a fellow rider mentioned something called an F1 kit, which boosted performance.
Is there such a kit out there.....

I had a conversation with my mechanic a few days ago, regerding performance boost for my i955 Tiger and he mentioned that I could use the Speed triple camshafts and increase the output power of the engine to 120hp.
(I also have installed K&N filter and Triumph sport exhaust).
However, my personal view is that extra performance is not needed. Keep in mind that suspension and tyres in are not designed to handle so much power. Have a look around and check other manufacturer's similar bikes. They all use detuned versions of V-twin monster engines with much higher hp output.
I am just not so sure what my Tourances are gonna behave like if I push them too much.

cheers

There are going to be plenty of people that would be interested in a 'Sport' version, me included. But i think that i would have to do my homework before i did any engine power mods on my engine. Obviously the bike has been designed to handle the power it has.

Things like suspension and braking would all need to be looked at with some care. The figure of 120 bhp is probably the figure given for power at the crank, but still equates to close to 100 bhp at the rear wheel. (The Tiger figures are 104bhp at the crank = 86 bhp at the rear wheel) That is a whole lot of power to be managed by all aspects of the bike isn't it?

I wonder if it would ride the same?, would the frame geometry (rake & trail) be right. Wiser heads than me would know perhaps, but i would think that it would have some impact on it.

Interesting problem.....does anybody know for sure?...has anybody already stepped up the power significantly and can answer the above ?
