ok
myself and a m8 took the 600km trip down to Dijon for this over the weekend. If you have any interest in old bikes of all makes its a belter.
first the event - details here

The circuit is a belter as well. Modern facilities and the track appeared to be very well surfaced (and new by the colour).

what the image doesn't show is the climb up the long main straight then the dive back down Gauche de la Bretelle where a few got it wrong and some even fell - ouch! from Parabolique you climb back up again to the next bent and then drop slightly back towards the start of the home straight through some very fast sections.
would I love to ride this track? Oh yes!
In the middle and on this side of the track the exhibitors and competitors were set up and you could wander freely past the bikes and get a good look see and chat with the folks if it took your fancy.
Sometimes the noise from some of the old race bikes was deafening. Some sounded just plain perfect. on track they just howled around and one in particular (an old Honda racer I think) sounded more like a stukka dive bombing till unfortunately it gave up the ghost mid race. the rider was none too pleased but i guess thats racing.
Saturday we spent the morning going round the stalls (some good- arai where we got our helmets checked out and adjusted for free, some full of crap!) and in the afternoon we just watched these guys race. sunday we just sat in the grandstand all morning watching some beautiful bikes whiz past before the journey back Sunday afternoon.
here is a link to some of the pics (sorry about the quality)
