Anybody got one or tried one ?

I think the jet black on a Roulette Green bike looks pretty cool.

I've the Triuph touring screen on just now and finding it a bit buffety at cruising speed I don't really want to make the bike look good but then find it's a mare to ride.

And the usual height/weight/body mass stats - 5' 11.5" (the .5 is important !), 42" chest so that gives me a reasonable amount of shoulder to get the wind passed.

I swapped mine out last year, was needing to get something to show the paint job off but it was also a chance to see if the sports screen was better than thet original. It is definately better, you get a steady blast on your upper body but none of that buffetting around the head I used to get. Used to feel like my head was about to be blown off before but not any more, IMHO a big improvement.

A company called Air Devils in Brampton (Cumbria) they also did my Blackbird a few years ago.

I'd recommend them anytime, let me know if you want contact details, etc.

You can also see their website HERE

My web site shows more photos HERE

I am 6ft 1 and sit fairly tall in the saddle. I was getting fed up with the buffeting from the standard screen and thought about getting a TALLER screen, when I realised that riders of naked bikes don't complain about having their helmets blown off due to wind buffeting.

I removed my screen altogether and what a difference, the Tiger is now pleasant to ride in all but the most extreme of weathers.

I didn't know that Triumph did a sports screen so I looked on ebay for a cheap standard screen and cut it down using a Dremel cutter to its minimum size, fitted a plastic edging and it's perfect.

I get the wind in my chest but the Tiger has ample power to overcome any extra drag. I would recomend to any Tiger owner who is suffering from the wind don't waste your money buying taller screens, throw away the one you have.

There is also a link to a chap in Germany who also made his own mini screen somewhere on this site.

I took the touring screen off and had planned to leave it off but it exposes two huge ugly allen bolts underneath and leave the holes from the tall screen uncovered.

Basically if I can cover it up with something I'll be happy.

Can't beleive someone wants £100 for a tiny triangle of black plastic !!

After destroying my sport screen I asked mayself the same question.

So I went along, tokk a dremel and cut off the stock screen. What can I say? It looks even better than the black sport screen...

Have fun!

I'm in the definate minority here but I don't have a buffetting problem with the standard screen on my '05 Tiger. Of course, I'm only 4'5" tall, I'm a midget.

No, that's not true. I'm just kidding about being a midget. But I'm 6'1" and I don't have a problem with buffetting. I wonder if some riders who have not had several motorcycles don't realize that motorcycling , in general, is a windy proposition and that all riders on all bikes, with the exception being tourers, like Goldwings, etc., which have a hot stillness that I do not find in the least refreshing, have wind displacement issues as they are rushing forward at 60? In other words, it isn't the Tiger, it's the sport.

You do have to wear a helmet and earplugs, but that's de rigour in motorcycling anyway. All in all, that's just how motorcycles work and the Tiger, for me anyway, is fine and better than several others, as far as that's concerned.

Nice try Jamo, but I've been riding bikes for 32 years and the Tiger is the worst I've had for buffeting. the worst for noise was a 1984 XJ900S that gave me tinnitus and prompted me to start using earplugs (too late! )

I've just got a "Sports" screen and also find it to be the best solution to eliminate the buffeting and with a quiet helmet (Schuberth C2), I'm not finding it excessively noisey either.
For general riding it's much better than a taller Ceebaileys. Although I've yet to do a long motorway trip. That'll happen in August down to Austria for the "Tridays" event.

I made one last attempt to like the stock screen before my Seattle-Canada-Tijuana ride last month. Tried the stock screen for a week, still hate it. Here's what works:
