After test riding the 675, I decided that she was not quite right for me. Fantastic bike but the ergos just did not suit and the deal was only ok at best.
So what next? Out riding with a m8 we decided to check out some other thoughts I had and I have now done a deal on.................
Ergos suit me better and strangely they were prepared to offer a much better deal than my Triumph dealer (and I mean a lot better!)
Pick the new bike up at the end of MAy (ish) :-D
oh yes, its the GSX - R750 (k6)

Doc suggested I needed a more leant forward seating position due to some back issues. Thought about changing the ergos on the Tiger but I was thinking it was time to change bike anyway. Tried an ST last year and was disappointed by it, when the 675 was announced thought that would be next for sure but....
Nothing else in the Triumph range really made me think wow just now so went looking elsewhere. This one has that wow factor (for me - just the same as my TT600 did and the Tiger come to think of it) and the extra grunt from the 750 compared to the 600 is a big extra in my thinking.
yes he said I was only to drink good Belgian beer (or maybe a Guinness or two) eat chips (the belgians claim they invented them!) and chocolate (they do make excellent chocs as well!) what more could a body ask for?
I'm seeing a bit of that but it's different - when I stop the pain stops. I'm still suffering with my coccyx from a ride I did on the Tiger on the 14th April. I'm right off my coccyx on the ZZR12 and, if previous experience is anything to go by, my wrists and neck get used to it; my back was never going to.
Edit: ...and the bar risers I put on today will help

when I had my Tt600 I never had neck pain but the wrist thing I did have for a couple of weeks. After I got used to the riding position I could ride her all day without it being an issue, so would fully expect the same again. Couple of weeks till I get used to her/run her in thenno problem. For a sport bike the ergos are really quite gentle.
When I first switched to the Tiger I had pain but that cleared as well. Any new riding position will need adapting to, but adapt we do.
I always found the biggest cause of wrist pain was incorrectly set levers - I would expect the levers will need turned a little on my new steed as well, just like on the TT and both Tigers.
As Kweller says, wrists will get used to it, back would only get worse.
I can't imagine how tall the risers would have to be to make that happen - certainly a hell of a lot taller than the ones I have on.
I did over 750 miles on the ZZR on Sunday and Monday down to the Ardenne and back for dinner - no coccyx pain despite the Dr. telling me yesterday morning that the x-rays I had done a week or so back show I have a fractured coccyx (I'm still trying to puzzle that out as I have no idea how I could have done it). EDIT: Just seen the specialist who tells me it might be an old fracture, it's not fractured now - that makes much more sense.
That was an interesting trip - it poured with rain all the way down...until it started snowing. We had some dry weather in the twisty bits on the way back but pouring rain when we hit the motorway again. Another member of the club went down in a heap on his Triumph (back on topic) just in front of me when we were doing 80-100. Lucky man - his bike is a write off after hitting the armco but he went sliding straight down the road and I managed to miss both him and the bike. I was very relieved to find him sitting on the armco in the centre of the motorway once I'd stopped as I feared it would be much worse. He got away with 2 fractures in his pelvis.

The discs at the base of my spine are compressing and the upright seating poition/ergos of the Tiger contributed to some pretty severe back pains. Some other problems with my back as well but the upside is that Doc suggested that a further forward/leant over seating position was to be preferred.
As to exercises for the back I have to swim (crawl not breast stroke - due to body position, cycle - race bike again due to seating/ergos, etc etc.
So yes - medical condition, buy a GSXR :-D
