Haveing got used to an HID headlight on my Beemer thats lights the road up for half a mile in front,on setting of from Le-Mans at 5am on Monday morning on the way to St Malo suddenly realised how poor my lights were on my Tiger Hmmm!!
I've :-
a) put the extra relays in to get both lamps working in unison.
& b) fitted "Ring Ultra Xenon" claim to be "up to" 60% brighter.
I find this to be good enough for 80mph on unlit "B" roads.

Also, I've found on some featureless French roads there's nothing for the light to hit. No hedgerows etc.. So, it makes the headlight beam seem bad.

Ditto here.

Having done the above, I find them the best lights I've had on a bike. Certainly better than my BMW 1100GS.
