I've just noticed that Amazon are taking pre-orders on a new Haynes manual for the 955i Tiger.

The release date is 11th April 2006!!

I've got one on order and will let you know when it is finally released.

Amazon have it listed as "Triumph Daytona, Speed Triple, Sprint and Tiger Service and Repair Manual: 1997 to 2005", so my assumption is that it will be all-encompassing. Should be interesting when it finally does come out.

The current one covers up to 2000 so I guess this one is just an update. I'm not sure how much (other than details like the alternator and has been said the swinging arm) changed after 2000.

Me too - I paid over $80 (US) at a local dealer for the official Triumph Tiger 955i repair manual, only a month ago. I looked all over for a Haynes or any other brand, but no luck. Why, oh why didn't the Haynes site tell me they were about to release one? ">

Don't cry, Ix. You're paying for a better manual.

Now, my own self - Well, I don't have a manual.

I'll probably get a Haynes.

Just gone to Amazon to place the order and it says there's a 4-6 week delivery time!! Then I had a look at the Haynes website and there's no mention of the manual anywhere.
Hummm? :???:

I contacted Haynes a couple of months ago regarding an update of their manual and was told that the manual was being updated and would be released in the spring.

I then found it advertised on Amazon with a release date of 11th April and have now noticed that they are stating 4-6 weeks delivery PLUS £1.99 'sourcing fee'.

My guess is that Haynes have been pushed for a release date, have given one and failed to live up to it. Amazon have realised this and have slapped a 'hassle fee' on the list price as they know it will probably be months before the book really is available.

Guess we'll have to wait patiently and see what happens. We could start a lottery on the real release date. I'll take the last week in June!
