In MY opinion, it still retaiins some of the Tiger elements..Yes it has lost all offroad possibilities, but were Triumph ever going to produce as focussed a bike as the GS...i doubt it. I think they are pretty sure of their target market and have produced a bike along those lines.
I think it will handle like a road bike (and a good one at that !) the forks, brakes and chassis look top notch, the signature tank has been retained and the fairing is a bit sharper looking, but not dissimilar. With the 1050 engine in, it will be very smooth and quick for sure.
Like it or loathe it, it is the future of the brand...just like the old twin tigers looked nothing like the first 900 Tiger, and that only vaguely resembled the efi's of today. It is an on going process that we either choose to embrace, or dismiss as an imposter, as we think fit................
