I'm heading to Phoenix via Colorado from Illinois to visit my God daughter. It's been put off until September for the moment. I think she said 1800mi for Illinois?

I have the choice to ride one of three bikes:
'05 Tiger
'06 Suzuki, DR-Z400S
'01 Trophy

Which one?

Walt

Take the Tiger. Most reliable, my brother rides a Trophy and we have had to put it in the back of a Suburban (don't ask how) to get home once.

Here's the order I'd use.

How long you gonna be there? I'd take the Suzuki in a pickup and explore the country. I've not been, but some of the guys here spend a lot of time there and give it very high ratings. But its pretty tough offroad stuff, not too Tiger friendly.

If your more into the long haul riding, the Trophy would be my pick.

If your Tiger needs the miles, or the Trophy does not, take the Tiger. It's a good long haul bike too.

Yeah - I'm not too sure the Tiger would provide enough off-road for that area. Of course, I've never been there.

What about a KTM 525 EXC on the back of the Mountaineer? Then I'd miss the over the road part!

Good point's Whoa -

That's an easy one, why not strap the Suzuki on the back of the Tiger and pull the Trophy behind the Tiger on a suitable trailer. Your miles per gallon may go down a bit but what
the heck. I am not sure where you will put the camping gear
but maybe you could drag it behind the Trophy in bullet proff
Helen's Two Whell sack. :-D

I know!

I could pack all of that easy on/in the Trophy!

Good idea!
