What's the farthest and longest trip you've made on a Tiger?
Where did you go? By yourself or two-up?
A description of your Tiger setup would be interesting!
Solo or two up
Top box with or with out back pad
Seat type
And any other aftermarket item used or Tiger modification(s) done.
Was it a good experience or not?
Will you be doing this type of riding, on the Tiger, often in the future?

1200 miles two-up with my 9 year old son through Colorado last year on Sargeant seats and a badly worn out suspension. Not bad, realy. Will do the same trip this year with better suspension and EOM seats.

That's a great memory for you guy's!
I'm heading to Phoenix via Colorado to visit my God daughter. It's been put of until September for the moment. I think she said 1800mi for Illinois?
I have the choice to ride one of three bikes;
'05 Tiger
'06 Suzuki, DR-Z400S
'01 Trophy
Which one?
Walt

600kms in a day to dijon for the Coupes Motos legendes. Solo with gel seat side bags standard settings. Riding with a m8. Near the end of the journey I was starting to tire, mostly wind noise (not buffeting).
Journey back was horrible though as I came down with bad flu (sneezing, snotters and visors dont mix at 150km/hr
Would do it again no problem though

June, 2005 - 3200 miles in 4 days. Denver to Minneapolis to ride the Minnnesota 1000, then back again over a long weekend. Solo, with gel saddle and sheepskin. Used a soft duffle strapped to the tail plus a small tank bag - plenty of room. The Tiger is certainly an appropriate bike for your ride, but the Trophy was made for that ride IMO. As much as I like the Tiger, I'd choose the Trophy. Have fun! :-D

I guess the longest was Maine to Deal's Gap via the Blue Ridge Parkway both ways. 2,500-3,000 miles total in a week.
I was riding single on a Triumph gel seat, sport screen, stock suspension, EBC sintered brake pads (which tore the rotors up so I have returned to stock pads), side bags, top Givi bag and a tent bungee corded to the rear seat. I also use Aerostitch tank panniers (really a great thing) to hold my camera and other things I might need to get at quickly. Finally, I don't even go around the corner without the XM radio.
I go on at least two >1,000 mile rides a year on the Tiger.
Was it a good experience...Have you ever ridden the Dragon and the environs? How about the Blue Ridge Parkway? All I have doing since I got back is trying to find the time to do it again
Cheers,
Fred

Last July I did 7505 miles in 19 days with two meetings for work - three days and one day - thrown in for good measure! Tucson - Indianapolis - Chicago - Great Falls, MT - Vancouver , BC - Susanville, CA - Rock Springs, WY - then back to Tucson. I have aluminum panniers and trunk made from voting machine boxes, a good-sized tank bag, and a duffle that fits on the rear seat and gives me a good backrest. I rode a stock seat and now have a sheepskin cover and I have a ThrottleMeister, an absolute necessity for those looooong runs out west. I replaced a rear tire in Marne, IA and a chain in Missoula, MT. Fantastic trip!
My plans this summer - May/June - looks like Tucson - Merritt Island, FL - Kill Devil Hills, NC (maybe some Blue Ridge Parkway on the way) - Youngstown, OH for a wedding - UP of Michigan - Arrow Rock, MO - back to Tucson. MapQuest says that's about 6500 miles. Last summer the side trip to Vancouver wasn't part of my original plans, this summer could easily get longer!
On the Tiger you can cover almost as much in a day on the 2-lanes as you can on the interstates. While I've traveled internationally, the States still have lots to offer and a Tiger just makes it so ***** fun!
TiggerTwo - You can show me Michigan in June and I'll show you and your Tiger Arizona in September. It's lovely when a summer thunderstorm drops the temperature from 110 to 85!

2600 miles in a week Dover through the swiss alps into Italy around Lake Magerno and back.
Full set of Zega Panniers, Corbin Seat, Cee Baileys tall screen, Intercom ( Had to keep telling my brother on his GS To keep up) Tank Bag and top box.
Fantastic ride especially through Switzerland but the final day was the longest, Geneva to Calais and P***ed down all the way.
Bike was set on standard recommended settings and never missed a beat. :-D Doing the same in July :-D :-D
