Haven't had them done, but am in the process. I bought some used forks on ebay and am shipping them to a place in California this week...so hopefully by the middle of March I can write back in and tell you how awesome it is!

As far as I understand, re-valving alters the sizes of the holes in the damping rod.

Nothing you can't do yourself by fiddling with different fork oil wieghts. Try mixing 2/3rds 15W & 1/3rd 10W I find it just right. Others have just thrown straight 15W in. Much cheaper the a re-valve for the same result.

Not so. Race Tech will either sell you or install for you a cartridge emulator that goes beyond changing oil and holes. It is a valve assembly that negates the function of the damping rod and has a shim stack that produces velocity dependant damping. As it came out of the box, the setup is amazing and if you want to get into the details, you can change the shim stack to do whatever you want. It's the single best mod I've done to my Tiger.

My main reason for asking,i've done 15wt Ohlins springs routine and that works well(brakeing),BUT at high speed the front wheel has a tendency to patter,i think for no other reason the forks are just to crude to respond to smaller movements.

Almost certainly with a lighter Dymag in,it's going to show up even more, and i'm trying to stay ahead of the game so to speak!!.

The pattering your talking about is because you have increased both rebound and compression damping equally and as such the rebound damping is too high now and not letting the forks return quick enough.

Damping is very complex and just changing the fork oil can upset allsorts of things including the high and low speed damping. If you have them re-valved professionally they can change just what is required.

Thanks for reply Knobby,as someone who has a lot to do with the raceing game,i also know professional suspension people can get you in the soft and smelly as well or be it unintentionally!!!

Hence my original question!!! but thanks all the same.
