My September 05 Tiger now has 3000 miles on it.We're off to the Pyrenees in May and I will probably do 2000 miles beforehand.I'm hoping not to have to change tyres before they are down towards the minimum tread (I never take them below 2mm) but am thinking that 5000 miles plus say 2500 for the Pyrenees will be too much mileage.Any comments ?
One option will be to use the Tiger less beforehand, which is now likely as I have had a minor incident which has done a surprising amount of damage (broken mudguard and cockpit fairing and dented radiator) so probably won't ride much until repaired.
So what mileage have people had from Anakees ?

John I have never got beyound 5k on a rear and the front was not far behind, change them, the last set were done at 4500, they are very soft tyres a bit sports bikeish

Hope this helps

I can second that, I reckon I've got 4k-5k out of my rear Anakee, and it's pretty much done. Front Tourance keeps going though, must be 8k-9k on it and still going strong.

I got 11,000km out of my back Anakee, and 18,000km out of the front.

Replaced back with a Tourance that has now done 7,500km, and looks like it'll go a lot further than the Anakee did.

My front Anakee was very badly cupped by the time I replaced it (it still a good bit of tread left, but the cupping made the ride unpleasant). Front replaced with a Pirelli Scorpion last week.

Anakees: 6250 miles on rear, 12,000 on front !

(A Tourance rear would give you about 9 or 10,000)

I've got 8600 miles on my orignal Anakees. I will replace them soon. Back's a bit squared off due to to much intestate communting.

As I've damaged the bike I probably won't do many miles in March until it's fixed. So best guess is that it will be touch and go on ileage.Probably change before I go even though there should be plenty of mileage left in them.
