Now, we're talking about someone who's been riding about a million years longer then I, done a lot of couriering in London and long distance - and lots of other riding. Now rides a Divi or a Fazer - which is practical if not a little jaded.
And when we met up, it was raining... And I had to lower the seat so he could put his feet down... he's not the tallest person.
And when he got back - he had the grin on his face :-D
And kept on muttering "now that is fun"
Interesting, I thought.
He wouldn't have been shy of tearing a strip off it if he hadn't liked it
(Oh, and having just slung some Road Pilots on probably made it an even better ride still IMHO)
I wonder if there is a special "Tiger Grin"?

There most definately IS a Tiger grin :-D
It is a kind of 'I know something you don't' thing mixed with a 'Hell that was fun' kind of grin !
Either way, it is seldom seen anywhere else than on a Tiger owners face

It's hard for me to tell - these are my first fresh tires on the tiger - I bought it at 7k miles with Metzlers on; I guess the original front, 2nd rear?... and ran them to 12k, square lumps.
So the difference with new rubber is going to be huge what ever make.
But everything feels good about the Pilots.

I ran Metzelers from new and believe me there is a massive difference. No squirmy ride much better on the brakes just all over more planted. Only thing I dont know is how long they will last (much less than Tourances I think) but if I get 6k miles from the rear I will be reasonably happy.

What is it with this TIGER GRIN? Early last year I was looking for a new bike. A chap I met about the same time asked a dozen times Have you tried a Tiger yet? I don't want a ***** Tiger I said they're ugly ***things. The weeks went by and I had the opportunity to borrow a new Tiger from my local dealer. Told my new found pal and he said I bet you come back smiling. He was right I did. Every time he gets in touch, the first thing he says is Are you still smiling? Yes I am.
How long does the smile last with a TIGER? :hammer:
