I did pop in there about 8 months ago when I was looking for a Tiger but wasn't very impressed. It never seemed busy, and seemed to be an appendage to the Mitsubishi(?) dealer already on the site.

I eventually got mine from Knotts in Stratford who seem reasonable. Any other experiences here?

Yes indeed.

I took my Tiger in to the place on the Coventry Road for a minor service, which wasn't completed without incident; their regular mechanic (really good guy) was away on training so they got a Mitsubishi guy to do the work which was not carried out to a satisfactory standard. A shame really, if they'd asked me whether I'd rather have had the work done quickly by a Mitsu engineer, or wait a week to have a Triumph engineer do the work, I would have been more than happy with the latter.

In all my dealings the staff in the Triumph side were the most delightful, helpful people you could hope to meet - but suffice to say my personal experience with the Mitsubishi side was less than pleasing. I suspect that knocking out Mitsubishi EVOs to rich kids is more profitable than motorcycles - call me a cynic, but I wonder if we'll see the Mitsubishi dealership expanding in to the old Triumph half of the dealership soon? I'm still waiting to have the rubber o-rings replaced on my fuel tank couplings which it would seem the Mitsu engineer damaged whilst it was in for service, but I think I'm probably out of luck and will have to put it down to experience and sort it myself.

I have heard good things about Knott's of Stratford and Action Motorcycles in Redditch, so I will most likely be getting future stuff done by one of them.

I'll tell my story of dealings with Black Country motorcycles one of these days!!!!

Ideal garage(Bromford Bridge) was Triumphs flag ship in the west mids, although they did sell Hondas as well, good shop with big turn over, went belly up for one and a half mill !!!!! after that Triumph have concentrated on much smaller shops, although even two of those have shut, one in Walsall, and the other at Bassets Pole.

Thanks.

Well i found e'm a real strange lot, went to see the lie of the land so to speak, told e'm i want my Tiger serviceing, but i only wanted the motor doing, shims, oil change(even though i normally do it myself) and new tune, and not to change the air filter as it was a new K+N,the look on the guys face didn't bode well, and when he said he didn't want to work on the Bike!!!!,i replied i'm not so sure i want you to!!!,went to Windy Corner were i told e'm what i wanted and they did it.

You will probably go there and find them Ok,just thought i'd give e'm a go being only 5 miles away, but there you go!!!!,never had someone turn work down, but there's a first time for everything!!.

I bought my Tiger new from the (now defunct..) Solihul dealer and when I checked the frame and engine numbers on the bike they had actually registered the wrong bike! Not sure why I checked as I'm not usually that anal about that sort of stuff but I'm glad I did.. Maybe that's why they've gone under. They were really cool about it and did the 1st service for free as I had to give them a hand to swap the number plates over onto the correct, same colour bike from the showroom.. I'll try the reddich dealer for further servicing and products..

I bought my first Hinckley (a gorgeus 1200 platinum silver Trophy) from Speedaway at Blackheath in 2000. Dont here much about them either in Triumph circles.
Have they gone too?
TF.
