This morning i went down to my local triumph dealership and bought a brand new Tiger 800XC (dark green) with top box and arrow exhaust. I cant wait, im so excited im off to pick it up saturday morning so not long

Yep will do when i pick her up saturday. I went into triumph to buy the road model, thats when i noticed her. Apparently there aint many XC in dark green, infact its the first one ive seen. I know the new explorer XC is dark green, but im sure people wont mistake it for one of thoes.

If you got an 800 in dark green that would be a 2013 model (over here anyhow.)

So even though i got 12" plate i got 2013 model that sounds sweet

Got a confession to make, like most bikers when picking a bike its a heart over head decision. Thats what happened at the dealership, i planned in my head for months to get the standard 800. But when i got there and started looking at the blue roadie with the dealer. Out the corner of my eye thats when i saw her in dark green

Now heres the confession, i never test rided the tiger so i have no idea if i like the ride

All i done was sat on it and went "uh oh" thats when i knew i wanted it. Has anyone else bought a brand new bike without test riding it?

I did, but I also read a ton of various reports so I knew what I was getting.

I bought mine without test riding it too. I went there wanting a white one, wanting a roadie, and wanting a deal on it because it had a whopping 131 miles on it. I brought my helmet, gloves, boots, jacket and riding pants with me (in the car), fully expecting to ride it before making the descision.

Like you in a way, I saw it and bought it without even sitting on it. I just KNEW it was the right bike for me, and I was absolutely positively correct. If my wife had been there, however, I would still be wrong.
