Hey Brakes0310, Don't you think it's a little too soon to complain about the brakes. You only put 180 miles on the bike. It takes more miles before the brakes are "broken in". They'll get better with some more saddle time.

I dont think i was complaining, i even said that i aint done many miles. Its just my first early impressions, and your right the bike does still need braking in. Once ive put a 1000 miles into ill do a proper review on my bike, and i expect my feelings on the brakes will be different.

Gutted came off my new bike round a roundabout just slipped off. Wing mirror, right indicator and some plastic gonna cost me about £100-£150 to replace the parts myself.
Banged my nose quite hard made lots of blood come out everywhere all on the bike and road. Just gutted, thats all i can say

Damn that sucks. At least you're alright for the most part. And damn..., that didn't take long! Did you hit sand, oil or something?

Well its another day and my mood is good now I have ordered all the parts i needed apart from two bits of plastic. Its come to £109, it should be here friday so i should have it all sorted before the weekend.
I rode my bike this morning at 5:00am to work, kinda icey out there, but i didnt let it put me off. Kinda funny pulling my bike out the garage then slowly sliding back into the garage cause of the ice

I didn't test drive mine either. I was looking at a blue Explorer, but an orange XC kept catching my eye. Ended up putting a deposit on the XC, and I've been very happy with her to date. Only 1500 miles on her so far. Looking forward to Spring and a bunch more miles.

Out the corner of my eye thats when i saw her in dark green Now heres the confession, i never test rided the tiger so i have no idea if i like the ride
All i done was sat on it and went "uh oh" thats when i knew i wanted it. Has anyone else bought a brand new bike without test riding it?

I just (2 weeks ago) bought a new 2012 xc. I test rode the 1200, loved it, didn't love the cost and after a lot of reading decided to buy the 800. We (2 up with wife) rode it for 3 days (about 400 miles) and LOVE IT! great power, fantastic suspension .... which I imagine is a big bonus over the standard 800 ..... very comfortable ergos. It was a good move, I think you will be very happy.
