I don't ride a Tiger, but I do have an '06 Bonnie on order. My current ride is an '06 KLR650.

Anyway, there's a group of dual-sport riders in Central Texas that head out once or twice a month. The group is geared towards KLR riders, but all makes are welcome. Most of the ride routes are over paved and dirt roads, some with water crossings. More often than not the routes are unknown to the riders, what shows up on the map as a dirt road winds up being paved. What looks like a small water crossing, can turn out to be much bigger.

If anyone is interested just respond and let me know.

Your going to have a KLR and a Bonnie? You bastard :-D . I've got the hots for a Thruxton, but dang thats a lot of coin to put alongside my Tiger.

Ditto twt, but your probably already there. Thanks for the invite, I have noticed quite a few posts from your buds. Looks like a good group.

And keep an eye out for a RAT Pak in Austin. We are shooting for March/April kickoff.

Congrats on the Bonnie, sweet pick.

I actually switched my deposit over from the Bonnie to a Thruxton. I sat on one at Lone Star and just fell in love with it.

Austin RAT pack, that would be great. I should have the Thrux around the same time. Keep me in mind whenever the pack goes live.

Thats what I'm talking about :-D You getting the black or blue?

Oh, and stay away from Jeremy, he's got some "have to have" mods for the Thruxton. He's evil and will have you changing it before you get it out the door. He does know his stuff.

If you could let me know the ride dates and locations I might just try and catch. I've got a Tiger and would really enjoy riding with something other than cruisers. Takes me a little over an hour to get to the Austin area. Sounds like a great time to me, besides I'm always looking for an excuse to get to Austin. jimack09@yahoo.com

Hey Jim, check out the link in this thread for Two Wheeled Texans. There are some KLR riders that are pretty active in the Austin area. I've traded my Tiger for a Thruxton so its only asphalt for me now.

We are very close to getting a RAT group going at Lone Star, so keep an eye out in the RAT forums for specifics.
