My Altberg's had the same affect but perhaps not as stylish or as high!

That's go-go boots. My daughter wears the things, and my wife used to.

I hate to be judgemental, but I can't see myself wanting to be friendly with a man who wears go-go boots. My recommendation: keep looking for a different solution. And stay from 'the boys', until you find one.

When I had a pair boots made to measure by Altbert. I asked for an additional 10mm to be added to the sole. Not quite GoGo boots however being 5'8" every little helps.

Also I have become used to MX boots and now all regular road boots feel like ballet shoes.

(I did have some multicolour leather stacked boots back in the 1970's, so here's hoping for a Glam Rock revival)

Went back to the shop today and, once again sat on the 06 Tiger of my dreams. With my arse shifted slightly to the side I was able to stand off the bike with not too much lean. So maybe it's not as bad as I thought the first time I tried it. And that was with runners on. I'm 5'9 and with my hikin boots on it would probably be a bearable height. As I said before, I would hate to lose any of that bottom clearance by lowering as we have a lot of logging roads around here just waiting for my future Tiger.
