Tank Bag

I have just bought a Tiger 800 but my Oxford tank bag is the wrong shape to fit the tank. I am looking for a small tank bag that will fit, with a clear pocket for maps/directions. I don't want the Triumph official accessory one. Any recommendations folks?

Thumbs up Tiger tank bag

This may be larger than you're looking for and it may fit your 800 differently than on my TEX, but here's a pic of what I picked up.

I didn't want one as large as the bag made for the Explorer, but this one works great for my needs.

It's a Triumph magnetic bag...

I really like my Touratech tankbag, though depending on where in the world you are they are ungodly expensive. I bought it in Germany for a high, but manageable price. Same thing in the US would have cost me nearly twice as much ...

I think it is smaller than the Triumph Adventure tank bag, but larger than the City tank bag. Might or might not work for you. It's a bit in the way when standing up on the pegs for rougher terrain, doesn't disturb me much as I rarely do this with the Tiger.

I use an SW Motech Day Bag. The map pocket is a bit small, but otherwise it's really useful and it'll fit on the Tiger 800 no problem.

SW Motech

I have a SW Motech "Micro" bag on order. It has no clear pocket for maps though. The Day bag above looks like the best fit for what you ask for. Their quality is really good.

Hi Paul. The part # for this bag is A9518030. If you go to Triumph's home page & click on Create my Triumph, you can check out the bag under the Daytona. It may be available on some of the other bikes also, but this is the first bike on their list which it's shown as an accessory. It is a 10 to 16 liter expandable bag with clear map pocket & 3 side pockets. It is not listed under the TEX, but fits it well.

Thanks. That's the bag I thought it looked like. Triumph just discontinued them. Still shows on the create my triumph, but you can't order one through triumph. I'm trying to find one on a dealer's shelf ...

I'm not sure what shipping would cost you, but my dealer still had a couple of them in stock 3 weeks ago.

baxtercycle.com

They're great to deal with. My guess is they would only charge you actual shipping costs...
