Picked up a nail in my new rear tire. Lots of fun trying to stop when the rear end is flailing about. 60 to 0 in record time.....
Spent a few hours waiting for a tow and into the shop for a new tube. Cheaper than a new tire. I'm gonna have to learn to change a tube myself.

When you mount a tire use zip ties, waaay easier and it is nearly impossible to pinch a tube that way...also get a gallon of tire mounting lube from Napa Auto, that helps a lot too.
(I did not invent the zip tie method, learned it over at advrider...am completely sold on the method and have the zeal of the newly converted

)

not really, you only need to carry six zip ties along with your tire irons. I used a tire mounting fixture I made in the picture but it is not essential, just makes the job a lot easier at home...it would definitely be a good idea to mount a few tires at home before you try it on the road though

I've waited nearly a year for a main stand to come up for sale (on flea bay) to replace the messed up on my cat. Eventually one came up and it was reasonably local so I could collect and save on delivery.

Was supposed to be brand new unused but the guy had cross threaded one of the shouldered bolts on the RH mounting bracket. Other than that it was brand new/mint condition. Not a scratch and obviously not fitted fitted. Seller said it wouldn't fit with his after market zorst.

LH mounting plate that was completely knackered, usual loose shoulder bolts which affected the main stand.

New LH mounting bracket fitted stand lubricated and fitted - 20 minutes. Luckily RH bracket was absolutely fine. Good job or otherwise I'd be knackered as well.

Got genuine fitting instructions, will scan and copy to forum - might be of use to someone.

Oh and my new battery conditioner has worked a treat as well and with winter coming, everything should be fine.
